Pro lidi s hodnotou 30 a v\u00fd\u0161e hroz\u00ed nap\u0159\u00edklad hypertenze, diabetes 2. typu, srde\u010dn\u00ed choroby, mrtvice, artr\u00f3za, n\u011bkter\u00e9 typy rakoviny, d\u00fdchac\u00ed probl\u00e9my apod. Pro jedince s ni\u017e\u0161\u00edm BMI ne\u017e 18,5 je hrozbou podv\u00fd\u017eiva, osteopor\u00f3za, an\u00e9mie a mnoho dal\u0161\u00edch onemocn\u011bn\u00ed souvisej\u00edc\u00edch s nedostatkem \u017eivin.  A k \u010demu se tyto v\u00fdsledky daj\u00ed pou\u017e\u00edt? Proto\u017ee se jedn\u00e1 vlastn\u011b o statistick\u00fd \u00fadaj, bude BMI u\u017eite\u010dn\u00fd sp\u00ed\u0161e pro jednotlivce. Ke klinick\u00e9 praxi je t\u0159eba zva\u017eovat mnoho jin\u00fdch faktor\u016f, kter\u00e9 BMI nebere v potaz. Jsou jimi nap\u0159\u00edklad stavba t\u011bla, mno\u017estv\u00ed svalstva apod. Proto na internetu najdeme spoustu kalkula\u010dek, kter\u00e9 do v\u00fdpo\u010dtu zohled\u0148uj\u00ed tak\u00e9 v\u011bk, t\u00edm dos\u00e1hnou p\u0159esn\u011bj\u0161\u00edho v\u00fdsledku. Ne v\u017edycky, ale vysok\u00e9 \u010d\u00edslo zna\u010d\u00ed obezitu. Sv\u00e9 o tom v\u00ed nap\u0159\u00edklad bodybuilde\u0159i, kte\u0159\u00ed p\u0159es vy\u0161\u0161\u00ed v\u00e1hu ob\u00e9zn\u00ed nejsou. M\u016f\u017ee za to p\u0159edev\u0161\u00edm v\u011bt\u0161\u00ed svalov\u00e1 hmota, kterou z\u00edsk\u00e1vaj\u00ed cvi\u010den\u00edm.
